Today (April 11) is Friday, but it's more like Sunday as we know it. It's the beginning of the weekend and the special day for Muslim prayers. We go to church. It was my first time in church since I arrived in the country two weeks ago tonight. We went to the Khartoum Christian Center. The service lasted from 11am until about 1:15. There was lots of music and lots of prayer. The speaker was a woman and she was very good. The message was about fearing God vs. fearing man.
Lots of differences from Pakistan. The church is in a normal city block, we parked the car on the street and walked in carrying our Bibles. In Pakistan the only Christian church was in the diplomatic enclave under tight security both getting into the compound access road and entering the actual church building.
