This was my absolute favorite spot at the Turtle Bay Beach Club in Watamu, Kenya. Sitting in the "Weaver's Nest" lounge and watching/listening to the weavers - a beautiful, yellow bird nesting in the trees in the courtyard.

The nests were circular and I watched the mama birds feeding their babies. Even watched a nest being skillfully built!

This one tree must have had 10-15 nests in it. It was a busy place most of the day. I wasn't able to snap a photo, but one day when the fountain was spraying I watched these beautiful birds fly into the spray and then out to clean their feathers.

The resort lobby, which was quite expansive, was the only place with an internet connection so I spent a considerable amount of time there. One night late this crab came wandering through the lobby...

I have to admit...I got a little worried about my toes! I picked up my crocs and I don't think I slipped my feet in them the rest of the week without checking to make sure they were empty!
